My Heart Is Open Wide is a song for Merideth and Dave for their son Jackson. They put their thoughts into a Word document and sent it along to me. It was succinct, but encompasses their joy at watching his joy of simply running around, how parenthood broke them out of their shy habits, their wondrances of who he will become and overall their joy at the experience of it all.

My Heart Is Yours is a song for friends Rebecca and Conrad. At the time their daughter Camilla was a toddler and this beautiful song came about. We met and talked about their experience and they shared further notes in a Word document afterward. They expressed how surreal and amazing it was to be a parent, the responsibility it brought, their wishes to do it well and their wish it would all just slow down!
